This project addresses the impact of the economic crisis on the forms of urban governance in Spain, contrasting the experience of our country with that of the United Kingdom. More concretely, it aims to analyse how practices of participative governance are evolving and which are their future prospects in a context marked by budget austerity, social conflict and political crisis. In more general terms, we want to explore the implications of such dynamics of change for the relations between state and non-state actors at the local level.
